Wickwood has been lauded as “One of the world’s most romantic Inns” by "Travel & Leisure" and others have echoed this sentiment. We admit we go especially wild for Valentine’s Weekend with champagne, hearts, masses of roses, chocolate galore and romantic candlelight. And menus become even more lush – after all, lovers have appetites too!

These days may be snowy or balmy – we never know! The Farmer’s Almanac says that 2009 will be a mild winter – but we take it day by day, sometimes moment by moment. One day it feels like Spring – the next we can build a snowman in the front yard.

Our world moves a little slower this time of year and it’s always a great time to hunker down at the Inn with a book, Scrabble, or old fashioned letters.
Take time for:
Hot Chocolate • Sleigh rides • Fireside chats • Cheese fondue • Making snow angels • Woolen mittens • Catching snow flakes in your mouth • Ice skating • Hot spiced cider • Snowball fights • Red wine & Roquefort.
