FROM THE WICKWOOD GUEST BOOK AND FILES Throughout the eighteen years that Bill and I have owned Wickwood we’ve been lucky to have met so many wonderful people who have enriched our lives!!!! We cherish the conversations, laughter, and fun that The Inn has brought to us. Great memories!!! Recently we re-read some of the cards, letters and comments from guests over the years. We thought we’d share a smattering of them with you. We want everyone to enjoy Wickwood as much as we do!!!

Would it be possible to get this recipe? Again, thank you. All of the women of Wickwood were just wonderful!! I felt right at home and was not sure how this experience would be as you are the first bed and breakfast we have ever stayed in. We loved the rooms, the wonderful and relaxing breakfasts and evening get-togethers, as well as our dinners, recreation, shopping and events in town. It was wonderful to meet Julee and have her sign our books. She’s been an inspiration to our family for years and in real life she is simply lovely. I’ve explained to our children just how important it was for me to meet her and they too became excited. Oh, that’s where the brie soufflé, broccoli mush, the Brussels sprouts with maple syrup, and so on came from. She’s created a wonderful Inn that really sets the bar very high for all others. We’ll be back" l “We were at Wickwood this past weekend and had the most wonderful time. It was our first time at a B&B and didn’t know what to expect. We were absolutely amazed. We love it for so many reasons—the inn is so beautiful, the other peoples staying there were so friendly, our room was gorgeous (The Vineyard) the food was incredible and the women who work there were so friendly and thoughtful. We loved the entire experience. Now we can’t wait to go back.” --- Mary Alice, Topeka, KN l “We stayed at The Wickwood Inn for only one night, unfortunately, last Thursday. We loved it! We would have stayed longer, but Wickwood was already booked. We were forced to move elsewhere for the next two nights and, need I say, it was not the same!! We even had to go out to breakfast after having breakfast where we were staying. At Wickwood the breakfast was just terrific, the hors d’oeuvres were fabulous, the sweet treats at night and the homey elegant atmosphere were great!! It was all such a romantic experience for us. My only wish was that it had been warm enough to sit outside in the lovely garden. We will the next time we stay. We are just so glad that we found The Wickwood and hope that you continue to do all of the things you’re doing. You are doing it all the right way!!”--- Trish, Chicago, IL l “I’m very late in writing about our fabulous trip to Wickwood last Fall, but I don’t want to wait any longer. We returned home renewed and invigorated after spending four days at Wickwood in The Summer in Santorini Room.. The Inn is exquisitely charming and we are still on cloud nine from the featherbed in our room. The striped wallpaper in the hall reminded me of my Aunt’s foyer. During the cocktail hour and breakfast we had memorable visits with several guests. And the gracious Innkeepers took us on a tour of the rooms, uniquely decorated reminding us of NYC, Europe and New England. The highlight was being introduced to Bill Miller who was like running
into an old friend. We shared stories of the Inn and Saugatuck and he even
talked shop with my husband. He’s a charmer, no wonder Julee Rosso married
him. We will certainly return to Wickwood and Saugatuck. I am a “native” of
Grosse Pointe and every summer we went “up north”, never had a chance to
visit Michigan’s west coast. Now we have and know that it is one of those
“best kept secrets”. The beaches are gorgeous; shopping is unique and
wonderful, and climbing up Mt. Baldy a challenge. We are sharing Saugatuck
and The Wickwood Inn with family and friends. Our trip left us revived,
refreshed and infused with new ideas. I love to decorate and garden and my
creative juices are flowing after living in Wickwood.” --- Susan M.,
