Wickwood Inn is the center of Saugatuck Summer events and the many things to do in and around town. Everything you want for summer fun is either within walking distance or a very short drive away. As soon as you arrive at Wickwood Inn, life simply tastes a little bit sweeter … we are celebrating our local berries! They’re scattered throughout the day … every day with our signature Four Berry Fruit  Salad at Breakfast, Blueberry Bread Pudding with Spiced Blueberry Sauce, Raspberry Razzle Dazzle Cake, the very popular Blueberry Streusel Coffeecake and Raspberry Shortbread. We’re lucky to have so many delicious berries in the fields around Saugatuck … peaches and apricots coming soon!

Everything about Summer life in Saugatuck truly does sizzle! In our quaint village, you’ll find endless opportunities for activity and adventure … and no shortage of options to simply relax and rejuvenate. You’re sure to enjoy the impressive array of Saugatuck Summer events including: Concerts, Exhibits, Theater, Festivals, Parades, Fireworks and much, much more.

Bring on the summer fun!

On the main stage at the Saugatuck Center For The Arts (SCA), through July 10, The Mason Street Warehouse hosts the Million Dollar Quartet, a Tony Award-winning Broadway musical about the legendary recording session that brought Elvis Presley Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins together for one night only. Find ticket information and the remainder of the Mason Street Warehouse Summer Schedule here.

At the SCA, you’ll also enjoy summer concerts, Friday’s Farmers’ Market, and artist exhibitions. Don’t miss the main exhibit, Easel On Down The Road, featuring local artist Anne Corlett’s collection of paintings from each of the 50 states! This project spanned over 3 years and 29,604 miles. Your eyes will delight during this majestic tour of the United States.

Celebrating 45 years of excellence, The Hope Summer Repertory Theatre (HSRT) is West Michigan’s premier professional theater company. The company is a unique blend of distinguished professionals and young theater artists from all over the United States, and it’s just minutes away from downtown Saugatuck.

For live music, theater, homemade food, hard cider, and amazing orchards … try Crane’s Pie Pantry and Winery. We’re particularly excited about the Bourbon Cider Release Party on Saturday, August 6 and the Saugatuck Civic Theater’s Performance of Hair on Friday, August 19 and Saturday, August 20!

If it’s vineyards, wine tasting, and live music you’re after, Fenn Valley Vineyards & Wine Cellar is the place! Whether you take in their Wine & Food Festival, Music In The Vineyards, Summer Evening Cookout, or their Vineyard Tour, this idyllic spot will not disappoint.

Not to be missed are the Artist Openings, Exhibitions and Wine Tastings at J. Petter Galleries. Of course, you can peruse their art and their sculpture garden any time … and you’ll certainly want to taste whatever is being poured in the wine bar. The retail selection of wines is carefully chosen and very well crafted.

Put on your dancing shoes, or kick off your shoes and go barefoot, for Music In The Park. Now in its 12th season, Music in the Park features popular bands playing in Wicks Park Gazebo in downtown Saugatuck. All are welcome to picnic and dance in this family friendly atmosphere. Concerts are Wednesday nights, 7:00 – 9:00 p.m., and admission is free.

For free music and dancing on Thursday nights, The Felt Estate Concert Series takes place at The Carriage House Stage. Food and beverages are available for purchase on site for your enjoyment.

The Chamber Music Festival brings together classical & contemporary music performed by the finest regional musicians. Concerts are at the Woman’s Club and scheduling information can be found here.

Of course, there’s also live music happening all over town: Coral Gables, Red Dock, The Butler Deck, The What Not Inn, Salt Of The Earth, and The Saugatuck Brewing Company just to name a few local hotspots.

And we have yet to mention some of our favorite summer special events: The Waterfront Invitational Art Fair, 4th of July Parade & Fireworks, Venetian Festival (complete with a nighttime boat parade followed by fireworks!), and the Village Square Arts & Fine Crafts Fair … oh my!

Like we said at the top, while this little village doesn’t take itself seriously, we do take our FUN seriously! Reserve your room at Wickwood Inn today and enjoy all the incredible Saugatuck Summer events!
