Our Policies

We want Wickwood to become your second home—with bed and breakfast policies, amenities and services that make your stay as adventurous and social, or serene and private as you wish. We attend to the details in the background so that while you relax and reconnect, you feel like you’re being pampered. Come and experience the delicious difference of life at Wickwood.

Every room throughout the Inn has a unique distinctive decor. As our guest we invite you to enjoy our collection of art and sculpture, fresh flowers in your room, and our treasury of books, music, games and puzzles.

When we developed our bed and breakfast rules, we tried to anticipate all of your needs. Rooms Rates are confirmed at time of reservation and confirmations are mailed for phone reservations or e-mailed for online reservations. If there is any discrepancy in our bed and breakfast policies, please contact Wickwood upon receipt and prior to arrival.

Deposits: Reservations require a deposit to be secured. Visits require a one-night deposit. Or, for multiple night reservations, 50% deposit of the entire reservation. Deposits are typically put through on the same day you make your reservation. The balance is due upon arrival. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, personal checks and cash.

These trying times have forced us to examine and temporarily change our cancellation policy.

Effective immediately, we have suspended our policy to refund deposits on reservations cancelled within the no-penalty cancellation window as per our Policies.  All deposits will be carried forward with a Gift Certificate as a credit toward a future stay.  Once the COVID-19 crisis is over and we’re back in business, any deposits that have not been carried forward as credits, unless otherwise requested, will be refunded in the order in which a cancellation was received.

We regret any inconvenience this change in our cancellation policy will cause our guests, but due to the Michigan Governmental shut down causing the absence of any incoming revenue to sustain the basic essentials of our business, we are left with few alternatives.

Thank you for your understanding and your support.  So many of you have reached out to us asking how you can support us right now.  This is the best way for it makes a huge difference to us as a small business.  We’re so grateful.

Rates: Our lodging rates are based on single or double occupancy. They may change without notice. Taxes of 8% are not included. Seasonal demand may affect minimum stays.

Children: Children over 10 are welcome.

Pets: We are happy to recommend a nearby kennel for boarding

Non-Smoking: For the comfort and safety of our guests, all interior areas of Wickwood are entirely smoke-free. Smoking is permitted on the outdoor Gazebos, Gardens and Back Porch.
